Braiding and cutting

Loving our new jewelry!  It was so nice of you to make them for us.

Hally spent most of night braiding.

I spent my time cutting and I made you this card.

I never knew how much work goes into making these rugs.

Well, I guess that's all for now.

Adding some color

In order to make a rag rug I needed a towel to sew all these little strips of cloth to.  So Hally set to work finding a towel...

This one should work great!

I layed out my cloth to see how it would look.
But I think I need Something to break up the pink.

So I went looking for something else I could use....

I found lots of tshirts & shorts that have great color and will work Well to break up the pattern.

So far I have added 2 pairs of shorts and a t-shirt to the strips already cut.

And Hally has been sewing her rug.  It is slow going, but it is coming along.

We are working hard on our projects.  I hope you are working hard at your school work.

Rugs, rugs, and more rugs!

Thank you soooo much!  You truly saved the day!  I don't know how my instructio.  got into the trash, but thank you soooooooo much for saving them!

If you hadn't seen them I would have been really sad.  But thanks to you.....

I got it all finished.

Friends forever!

Since I managed to finish up the cross stitch I decided to start on the rag rug.

In order to make a rag rug first you have to cut the cloth into little strips.

So, I've gotten lots cut, but lots more to do.

And of course Hally has been keeping busy braiding the yarn.

And adding the braids to her rug.

And of course there is the rug your brother made for us.  I think we can take it off the card board one string at a time and tie them all off.  Please tell him we are thankful for the rug.

I guess our toes will be nice and warm with all these nice rugs.  And our floors will be beautiful as well!

I guess that's all for now.

We love you and will play with you soon,
Phebee & Hally

Going cross eyed

Hally and I started the night out with some Chinese take out.  Yummy!

Then it was back to work on my cross stitch.
I managed to get a lot done tonight.  I hope to finish tomorrow.  It's always exciting to see a project coming together.  It will be nice to have something pretty to hang on the wall.

What do you think?

While I was cross stitching Hally decided to make a project from some of the yarn.

She started out by braiding 3 pieces of yarn.

And then she rolled the braid around it's self and sewed it all together.  It's small right now, but I think it is really cute.

And it will make a really nice addition to our home.

we hope you like what we are doing.

Lots of love,

A quiet night

Tonight is rather quiet, just me and my cross stitch.  It is starting to look like something, but I still have a lot more work to do.

I am rather enjoying the cross stitch...

Even if I am still trying to figure out exactly what to do.

While I stitch I am trying to decide what I should do with all of that beautiful material.....

I am thinking it would make a nice rag rug.  Perfect for the bedroom!  Of course I would need some sort of backing ...  like and old towel or something.

I hope you and Hally had a great night!

Lots of Love,
Pheebe

And onto the next project.....

Hally and I are both so excited about all the material and sewing stuff you got at the store for us to use!  We do. t know how to thank you!

We wanted to dive right in to it all, but first we needed to finish our first sewing project.

All we had left was to finish stuffing one pillow and sew them both shut.  Pretty simple, and since we have just one sewing needle....

I quickly finished stuffing my pillow and Hally sewed both pillows shut....

While I read up on how to cross stitch. And then gave it a try....

It is slow going, but I think I am off to a good start.

Thanks again for all the things you got at the store.  You gave me plenty to keep me busy for a long time to come.

Have a great day at school!  I will miss you!  But I can not wait to hear all about the stuff you learn at school.

thanks again!
lots of,

Sewing and stuffing

Hally and I started sewing tonight.  It is coming along quickly.

3 sides done!  I am pretty sure that we can finish them off tomorrow night.

We managed to stuff one tonight,

but it is getting really late, so I think we will have to finish it off tomorrow night.

I can't wait to put them in the house with all our things.  It is so exciting to be able to help decorate.

lots of love,

Cutting and pinning

Thank your mom for the material.  She gave us lots, so we will be able to make a few things.  We sarted cutting out our first project today.

And pinning the pieces of cloth together.

But the hardest part of the project was finding something to use as stuffing.  These cotton balls should do the trick.

The only problem with cotton balls is that they will be lumpy.  So we have to pull the cotton balls apart and make them fluffy.

The rest of our night will be spent pulling cotton balls to make stuffing.

I am excited to be making something new for the house.  We hope you will like it too!

I better get back to pulling cotton balls apart if we are going to get this done tonight.

lots of love,
Pheebe

Burrrrrr

It is too cold to sew tonight.  So we have cuddled up to the fireplace to stay warm tonight.

I hope you are warm and safe tonight.

Lots of love,
Pheebe

Packing

Wow, I never knew how much work it took to pack! I never expected it would take this much time and energy.

I started out by moving all the food and dishes that we might need over the next few days into Hally's camper.  Next I searched the house for some boxes.  Then I wrapped up the tea set and packed it all up along with the rest of the kitchen items.

When Hally came down from your room she found some sticky notes and made labels for all the boxes.

She jumped right in and packed up the bed room.  She left out an outfit for each of us.  As well as shoes and a sweatshirt.

It was a long night.  With real team work.  But we are just about ready for the big move.

The house is just about ready...

Lots of boxes packed and labeled.

And the camper is ready for us to move into.

Tell your mom we said thank you for the material.  It will give us something to do now that the house is all packed up.

We couldn't find any of the hair clips and I think we were missing some clothing as well.  Do you think you could help us find anything we have not packed yet?

Thank you!
lots of love,
Pheebe.
